01Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small values stored by your browser and sent to the relevant website with requests. Session storage and local storage keep information in your browser for a tab or website. This notice explains the technologies used by Rivo Mobility Solutions at rentrivo.com.
Some storage is necessary to keep you signed in, protect accounts and preserve an application. An explanation of storage is not permission for unrelated tracking. See the Privacy Notice for wider collection, use and rights.
02Sign-in and security
Our authentication service, using Neon Auth through Rivo, sets scoped sign-in cookies prefixed rivo_auth_. These support verification and session continuity. Authentication cookies are restricted to the relevant auth path and use browser security attributes. Session duration and renewal follow the authentication service’s configured expiry.
Short-lived account tokens and opaque session proofs are held in memory for authenticated requests. Sign-out clears the browser-side account state and ends the current session. The site also records limited security information to detect abuse and enforce verification limits; some of those records are server-side, not cookies.
03Plans, drafts and service preferences
Tab-scoped session storage, using the rivo:draft:v1: prefix, can preserve plan choices, application steps and entered information across navigation, reloads and switching mobile apps. The current draft helper has a one-day validity window. It can also keep an in-memory fallback when storage is unavailable. Verified account applications may additionally be saved securely on the server.
Local storage can hold verification-code resend cooldown timestamps under hashed email-specific keys, and a fleet-update marker so open tabs can refresh changed listings. These values support service behaviour, not advertising profiles. Browser data can remain until it expires, is replaced or is cleared; clearing local data does not delete records held in your Rivo account.
04External services and optional technologies
Fonts currently load from Google Fonts, sending technical connection information such as your IP address to Google to retrieve the font files. Cloudflare supplies website delivery and security; banks, wallets and HitPay handle their own storage on their payment services under their notices. Rivo does not read your wallet’s private cookies.
The current code does not include optional advertising pixels or an optional analytics tag. If non-essential analytics, advertising or profiling is introduced, we identify the provider, purpose and duration and offer the required choice before it runs. Rejecting a non-essential technology must not silently enable it. A cookie banner is not added merely to pretend essential functions are optional.
05Your controls
You can manage or clear cookies and site storage through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop sign-in or account functions; clearing drafts may remove unsent edits. Sign out when you finish on a shared device and clear site data if necessary.
Storage choices on this site do not change a vehicle’s GPS or telematics monitoring arrangements. Those are disclosed separately in the Privacy Notice and your vehicle agreement. To exercise personal-data rights or ask about an external service, contact [email protected] or Get in touch.
06Changes and questions
We update this notice when the storage technologies or purposes materially change. The date above shows the current version. Contact [email protected] with questions about cookies, browser storage or privacy.
